Cemetery/Memorial:
Private John Stuart from Ballindalloch was reported missing during operations at Monte Ornito, Italy, later presumed killed in action. He has no known grave. His name is among others on a Marble Roll of Honour erected on Monte Ornito post war by veterans. Foster-son of John Stuart Fairweather and Elizabeth Fairweather, of Rothes, Morayshire. Before joining the Army he was employed at Benrinnes Distillery farm.
