Private John Scobbie died on 17 January 1945 of wounds received on 1 January 1945 during operations at Myebon, Burma. He has no known grave. Previously employed at the Glasgow Iron and Steel Company. Son of the late Mr. and Mrs Matthew Scobbie of Broompark Road, Whytegates.
