Extract from Commando Association newsletter 25 (September 1957)
"Please assure all the old lads who made the word " Commando " so famous during World War 2 that the present R.M. Cdos are definitely up to the old standard," writes Sgt. J. W. Powell (30 AU, 46 and 45 Cdos). After being wounded in the Cyprus actions, and again during the Suez Canal episode, we are pleased to report that the sergeant is making good progress. He would very much like to have news of old chums from the 30th A.U.
