Enlisted 1942. Volunteered for the Commandos. Attached No.9 Commando. Active service included Salerno (Operation Avalanche) and Lake Comacchio (Operation Roast). Post war relocated to Heysham in Lancashire where he was employed by Shell in their refinery facility there for the remainder of his working life.
