Harold Sidney Hill 4 Commando
Corporal Hill from Worcestershire was wounded 10 June 1944 during operations at Normandy, France. Post war member of the Commando Association. His nephew adds "My uncle was seriously wounded by a mortar shell. His leg was saved by a Canadian surgeon but his injuries were severe and resulted in his inability to have children, along with very poor eyesight, and a loss of his senses of taste and smell".
