1 November 1944 died at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. Son of Brig. H. Bartlett CBE and Hilda Bartlett; brother of Osborne and husband of Joan. The headstone at his grave states "died of wounds received at Salerno" [4][5].
4 November 1944 buried with full military honours [6].
