14 July 1944 Chateau D'Amfreville
2310hrs - Intelligence Officer returns from 4 Troop patrol area. Patrol was withdrawn after evacuation of casualties. Enemy position mortared by Captain Pollard to finish withdrawal. Tpr Whittles killed, Lt Weedon, L/S McDonald, and Tpr Barlow wounded.
