George Norman Sadler, a Baker and Confectioner from London, enlisted into the Royal Marines on 14 May 1940. He volunteered for the first RM Commando unit to be formed in 1942. Corporal Sadler was captured 19 August 1942 during Operation Jubilee at Dieppe, France.
