Frederick William Inscoe, a Castor and Moulder from Birmingham, enlisted 1 September 1939 and later volunteered for the commandos. Private Inscoe, No.3 Commando, was wounded and taken prisoner on 19 August 1942 during operations at Dieppe, France.
