Edgar George Cleaver enlisted into the Royal Marines 20 May 1942. Marine Cleaver, 40RM Commando, was captured at Anzio on 5 March 1944. Prisoner of War until April 1945 when he broke away from a forced march away from the Marlag and Milag Nord Camp.
