Named on a partial nominal roll in this archive as a Royal Engineers Lieutenant in No.4 Commando during the Dieppe raid on 19 August 1942.
Lieutenant McKay died of wounds on 23 March 1943 serving with 270 Field Coy, R.E., and is buried in Tunisia [2][3][Notes].
