Lieutenant David Wearing was killed during the River Rhine crossing near Wesel. Son of John and Mary E. Wearing, of Liverpool [1][2].
Educated at Oulton High School, Liverpool where he was captain of the school rugby team. A keen rock climber he was employed at the ICI Factory in Runcorn before enlisting in 1943 [3].
