David Foster Haddow was a Police Constable in 1939 residing at the Police Section House, Salisbury Road, Queens Park, London. He volunteered for the Commandos in 1942 and was part of the 1st Police Intake to the Commando Depot (Commando Basic Training Centre) at Achnacarry. Fusilier David Haddow, No.6 Commando, was wounded 30 November 1942 during operations in North Africa. Later active service included France and Germany. Discharged from military service 18 October 1945. Member of the Commando Association with whom they lost contact last known residing Harlesden.
