Dave Losban 43 Commando
Marine David Losban, 'A' Troop, was seriously wounded after being shot several times on 19 April 1945 during the commando advance North between the River Reno and Canals West of Argenta, Italy. His life was saved by his friend Marine John Squire who carried him to safety under heavy machine gun fire.

Gallery comment by his son Mike Losban, "I feel such a sense of honour to have had a father like mine; a true gentleman with a great sense of humour. He was a paraplegic due to his wounds and indeed, when he died, his death certificate stated 'gunshot wounds', even though it was 48 yrs on from his wounding."
