Charles Stewart from Glasgow enlisted on 2 March 1936. He volunteered for the Commandos in WW2 and was attached to No.7 Commando embarking with them for the Middle East as part of Layforce. Sergeant Stewart was reported missing 2 June 1941 during operations at Crete, later found to be a prisoner of war.
