Sergeant Charles Baldwin was killed in action during operations at Pothus, Norway (Scissors Force). Son of George and Elizabeth Baldwin; husband of Inez Jane Baldwin, of Penram, Glamorgan.
Service
10.01.1922 attested into the Royal Welch Fusiliers aged 20. Former trade: Haulier.
03.11.1925 transferred to the Worcestershire Regiment.
Later served with the 2nd Bn. Monmouthshire Regiment.
April 1940 volunteered from the Monmouthshire Regiment for the Independent Companies and attached No.2 Independent Company.
