Lance Corporal Charles Alexander was reported missing 2 March 1943 during operations in North Africa, later found to be a prisoner of war. He had volunteered as part of the Police Intakes to the Commandos.
In 1939 he was a Police Constable in Leicester residing at 7 The Cresent, Melton Mowbray.
Post war member of the Commando Association last known residing Loughborough.
