Cemetery/Memorial: 
Captain Branson Richards was captured during operations in Cyrenaica in 1941 (Bardia Raid) and detained at Camp P.G. 29, Veano, Piacenza, Italy. Reported shot and killed escaping captivity. He has no known grave. Posthumously Mentioned in Despatches. Son of Frank Branson Richards and of Harriet Louise Richards (nee Bowman), of San Francisco, California, U.S.A.
His brother Flight Sergeant (Pilot) John Edward Richards, 61 Sqn.,RAF Volunteer Reserve, aged 20, also died in the war and is remembered with honour at Durnbach War Cemetery, Bayern, Germany.
