Corporal Arthur Tugwell died during operations in Italy. His Commando were engaged in fighting at Monte Ornito and Monte Faito, Italy. Mentioned in Despatches for outstanding service whilst operating with the Allied Armies in Italy. Son of Robert John and Martha Thomson, of Kearsley, Lancashire; husband of Alice Thomson, of Kearsley.
