Lance Sergeant Archibald Scott was wounded in Italy on 30 December 1943 (Operation Partridge). Promoted Company Sergeant Major he was wounded a second time on 16 April 1945 during operations at Lake Comacchio. He died in 1956 from injuries received in a pit accident at Maltby Main Colliery, South Yorkshire.
