Marine Alexander Harland 46 Commando
Marine Alexander Harland died during operations in Holland. The jeep he was driving carrying ammunition and supplies overturned in a water filled ditch and he drowned.  Marine Harland was originally buried at Meerlo, Limburg, before being re-interred on 16 September 1946 at Venray War Cemetery. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward William Harland; husband of Dorothey Rosina Harland, of Hanwell, Middlesex.
