Comments from his son Allan Cameron

"My father was wounded and captured after action in Wadi of Anzio Italy, and treated by a German orderly in a field hospital in a cave. Both he and another from 5 troop were posted missing presumed dead. They were eventually rescued by units of the Irish Guards and hospitalised in Alexandria. This information was relayed to me by Tommy Bostock, his Corporal, who was also wounded in same action and later received the MM."
