Alexander John Brown, an Apprentice Plater (Shipbuilding) from Liverpool, enlisted into the Royal Marines on 17 December 1942. Marine Brown, 46RM Commando 'B' Troop, was captured 11 June 1944 during operations at Rots, Normandy.
