Reginald Smith, a Carpenter Improver from St. Albans Hertfordshire, enlisted 1 June 1940, and subsequently volunteered for the commandos. Private Smith, No.3 Commando, was reported missing 19 August 1942 during operations at Dieppe France, later confirmed a prisoner of war. Post war member of the Commando Association from St. Albans, Hertforshire.
