Sergeant Leonard Perkins, 5 troop ('A' Section HQ) from Liverpool was wounded 29 July 1944 during Operation Healing 2 at Spilje, Albania [1][1a].
Awarded the Military Medal and also received a Mention in Despatches both in recognition of gallant and distinguished service in the field [2][3].
Leonard Perkins was from Liverpool and employed as a Clerk before the outbreak of war. Whilst No.2 Commando were in Ayr he was billeted at 'Parkhouse', Bowman Road, Ayr [1].
