Temporary Surgeon Lieutenant Ernest Owen Davies, M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P., R.N.V.R., was the Medical Officer for 41RM Commando. Awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for great courage and devotion to duty in caring for the wounded during landings at Salerno September 1943.
