Surgeon Lieutenant Commander Pryde, R.N.V.R. was killed during a bomb attack on H.M.S. Queen Emma in Augusta Harbour, Sicily. He was on board the ship with 40RM Commando. Son of Thomas and Margaret Andyson Pryde, of Invercargill, South Island, New Zealand. M.B., Ch.B.(Otago).
