William Graham Rennie was a footballer with Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1938. He joined Stirlingshire Constabulary 22 May 1939. Volunteered for the Commandos in 1942 and was posted to the 3rd Police Intake at the Commando Depot (Commando Basic Training Centre), Achnacarry. After completing the course he was attached to No.5 Commando and deployed with them for active service in the Far East. He served in the Mortar Section. Discharged from military service 18 February 1946 final rank attained Lance Sergeant. Post war re-joined the Stirlingshire Constabulary which became part of Stirling and Clackmannan in 1949. Retired with the rank of Chief Superintendent circa 1970.
