Jim Chapman (40RM Cdo)
1941 Police Cadet Luton, Bedfordshire. 1942 volunteered for the commandos. Wounded at Anzio in 1944. Leg amputated. Returned to Luton Police 1945 and joined Luton Council in 1946. Secretary of the Luton War Memorial Fund. 31 December 1983, Head of Administrative Services, Luton Borough Council, appointed M.B.E. (Civil Division). Member of the Commando Association.
