Irvine Ridley Wilson was a Police Constable in 1939 and resided in Keighley, Yorkshire. He volunteered for the Commandos in 1942. Posted to the 2nd Police Intake at the Commando Depot (Commando Basic Training Centre) at Achnacary. Active service with No.3 Commando included Italy, France and Germany. Discharged 16 December 1945. Re-joined the Police post war. In 1947 he was a Detective at Police Headquarters Wakefield.
