Lieutenant Mark Pearce died in a climbing accident in Scotland. He had been climbing Sgùrr Mhic Chòinnich on the Isle of Skye with two friends when he fell. Lieutenant Pearce was airlifted to Broadford Hospital but found to be dead on arrival.
