Corporal Leslie Brown had previously served in the Commandos before joining 'B' Squadron of the 1st Special Air Service. He died when his jeep patrol was attacked whilst en route to harass the enemy in Southern Tunisia.

David Duff served in No.11 Commando 10 troop in the Middle East. He left No.11 Commando which was disbanded early and returned to the 5th Bn., Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders. Lance Corporal Duff was killed in action 23 March 1943 at the Mareth Line. Son of George and Isabella Stewart Duff, of Buchlyvie, Stirlingshire.

He was serving with 1st SAS ('B' Sqn.) at the time of his death having left the Commandos. He had previously served in both No 8 Commando and the Middle East Commando, and 'L' Detachment SAS.
