Lance Corporal Reginald Jeffery from Penzance died whilst deployed to Aden [1][2].  He was part of a training party that accidentally strayed across into Yemen and was ambushed.

Corporal Edward McGrath, from Kirkdale Liverpool, died during fighting between dissident tribesmen in the Radfan mountains.

Marine David Muir, aged 18, died from injuries sustained when an enemy mortar bomb exploded close to him at Ad Dimnah, Aden. Only son of Mr and Mrs J. Muir from Edinburgh.
