Leslie Stables, a Bottle Inspector from Yorkshire, enlisted on 20 June 1940. After volunteering for the Commandos he was attached to No.11 Commando and embarked with them for the Middle East as part of Layforce.

Post war emigrated to Canada.

Troop Sergeant Major Hugh Fuller served in 43RM Commando 'B' Troop. A keen athlete and member of Haywards Heath Athletic Club and Brighton County Harriers he joined the Royal Marines in 1940.

 

Sergeant Chris Hothersall was wounded 31 January 1945 during operations at Hill 170, Kangaw, Burma. Member of the Burma Star Association from Newton Abbott.
 

Served in 'Y' Troop. Member of the Commando Association from Basingstoke, Hampshire.

 

19.05.1939 enlisted Royal Norfolk Regiment, civil occupation Gamekeeper, Cator Estate.

23.04.1940 volunteered for Special Service; posted No.8 Independent Company.

Served in 'S' Troop. Member of the Commando Association last known residing Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria.

 

Post war member of the Commando Association.

 

 

Served in ' B' Troop. Last known residing St. Leonards on Sea, East Sussex.
