Edward McGrath 45 Commando
Corporal Edward McGrath, from Kirkdale Liverpool, died during fighting between dissident tribesmen in the Radfan mountains.
Obituary in the Globe and Laurel, December 1964.
It is with deep regret we have to report the death of RM 16924 Corporal E. McGrath.
Corporal Edward McGrath ('Sam' to his friends) joined 45 Cdo., Royal Marines, in July 1964, and after a short period in the AE Troop, volunteered for Recce Troop.
A quiet but efficient chap he was soon part of the team, and was enjoying the change of job.
Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to his parents and family.
