Ernst Weinberger, an Austrian national of the Jewish faith, served in 3 troop, also known as 'X' troop, of the inter allied commando under the alias of Ernest Webster. He was killed in action in a landing craft with Max Lewinsky during operations in Normandy on D Day. Husband of Gerda Webster, of Twickenham, Middlesex.
