Notes
At the time of his death his Commando were based in the town of Goes, and engaged in holding the line in the area of South Beveland until a major enemy offensive through the Ardennes took place.  At this point in December, 3 troops of 48RM Commando were sent to assist 47RM Commando at Oosterhout, whilst the remainder of 48RM Commando stood by to assist in the defence of Antwerp should it be needed.
Marine Reginald Lee [more...] also died on this day and is buried in the same cemetery.
