Marine Geoffrey Boothroyd was reported missing presumed died, along with the rest of 'T' Company 40RM Commando, when the ship they were on board, HMS Fidelity, was torpedoed. Son of Edgar and Mabel Boothroyd. His brother Gordon serving with 45RM Commando also died in the war.
