Gunner William Gibbs was killed in action during operations at Litani River, Syria.
Son of Mr and Mrs Gibbs of Conway Street, Everton.
Extract from the Liverpool Evening Express 
24 July 1941
"Gunner William George Gibbs, aged 22, RA, of 93 Conway Street, Everton, Liverpool 5, officially reported killed in action in the Middle East. He was an old boy of Netherfield Road School and a member of St Polycarp's Church Everton".
