Corporal Hugh Meehan, 4 Troop, died during operations in North Africa [1][2].
At the time of his death, his Commando were engaged in an assault on one of a line of flat topped hills known as Green Hill which was held by the enemy and covered the road and railway running from Tabarka to Mateur [3].
