Private John Eltridge, aged 18, was killed in action in Germany. His Commando were engaged in operations at the River Aller crossing. Attested into the Queen's Royal Regiment 20 July 1944. Son of Francis William Eltridge, and of Margaret Eunice Eltridge, of Islington, London.
