The 9 Cdo War Diary entry refers to a Lt. G. Gibson. The CWGC shows Capt. J.L. Gibson. The Field Return of Officers of 9 Cdo. dated 3rd June 1944 records 210963 Lt. J.L. Gibson RASC (joined the unit 24/4/1944.). His name does not appear on the July list.
