Lieutenant Derrick Burrows, 'Y' troop, was killed whilst administering morphia to a wounded marine. His Commando were engaged in operations at the River Aller near Hademstorf where he was originally buried before being re-interred at Becklingen on 21 August 1946. He received a Mention in Despatches for good service with the 21st Army Group. Son of Percy Charles and Claudia Emelene Burrows, of Old Windsor, Berkshire.
