Captain Barry Pierce 46 Commando
Captain Barry Pierce, 'Y' troop, died during operations in Germany. His Commando were engaged in operations at the River Aller near Hademstorf where he was originally buried before being re-interred at Becklingen on 21 August 1946. Son of Maj. W. M. Pierce, M.C., Royal Artillery, and Junr. Cdr. M. E. Pierce, Aux. Territorial Service, of Woodstock, Oxfordshire.
