Cemetery/Memorial:
Lance Corporal Alan Carlisle, 4 Troop, died during operations at Vaagso, Norway. He was buried at sea after a service on board HMS Kenya. Son of Archibald and Agnes Carlisle, of Leigh Beck, Canvey Island, Essex.
- Enlisted 1937; deployed to France 1939; volunteered for Commandos after Dunkirk; joined No.3 Commando and took part in the Lofoten Islands raid in March 1941.
