Captain Anthony Ruxton, M.C., died during operations at Agnone, Sicily, and the bridge at Malati (3 Commando Bridge). Son of Charles Harcourt Vernon Ruxton and of Phyllis Maitland Ruxton (nee Wood), of Waterrow, Somerset. Captain Ruxton had earlier been awarded the Military Cross in recognition of  gallant and distinguished service at Dieppe.
