Frederick Brown from Hull enlisted into the Royal Artillery in 1933. In July 1940 he volunteered for the Commandos on its formation and was attached to No.5 Commando 4 Troop. He died in 1943 from injuries caused by a self inflicted gunshot wound at Sandown, Isle of Wight. Son of Frederick William and Ada Rachel Brown, of Hull. Frederick
