Private Alfred Neal, RAMC attached No.2 Commando, was reported missing 28 March 1942 after Operation Chariot at St Nazaire, later presumed killed in action. Embarked for the raid on motor launch ML 447 and has no known grave. Son of Alfred and Alice Neal; husband of Phyllis Winefred Neal, of Norwich.
