L/Sgt Bill Wraith MM was the father of Brian Wraith-Mottier and Sgt . James Allender MM and bar, was known to Brian as his 'Uncle'. Both were in No.6 Commando and James Allender also served with 101 troop. During the action when Sgt Allender was awarded a bar to his MM you will read that he rested his bren gun on the shoulders of another Commando. That Commando was Brian's father L/Sgt Bill Wraith who also received a Mentioned in Dispatches during this action

Pete Rogers, son of LSgt Joe Rogers MM & nephew of TSM Ken McAllister. Both No2 Commando.
God and the Soldier, all men adore, In time of danger and not before.
When the danger is passed and all things righted, God is forgotten, and the Soldier slighted.
