Hi.......Im new to this forum and hope Im putting my message in the correct place. Anyway my husbands grandfather was in the 48 RM comandos in WWII. In fact there is a photo of him on this web site with a few of his mates in the same unit.
After his death a few years ago he has left my husband a necklace with a gold cross that has a false top. This was given to old George when he was a commando with the 48's. Before George died he told my husband that this cross held drugs that one could take if he was captured...thus ending his life before being tortured into giving up secrets. Is this true? Does anyone else have one of these crosses?
We would really love to have it valued so we can insure it.
Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Kim
